Chester Illinois Window Restoration
This project entailed carefully disassembling the window, replacing the damaged glass, and restoring the leadwork. After replacing the damaged glass with new, high-quality pieces, I began restoring the leadwork.
This window was salvaged from an older home slated for demolition to make way for a new build. The new owners, who happen to have a large Great Dane, unfortunately, experienced an accident when the dog ran into the window, damaging its bottom corner. After countless hours of meticulous work, I restored the window to its original condition, bringing it back to life. This window is a beautiful example of the craftsmanship and durability of older homes. Its intricate details and sturdy construction testify to the hard work and dedication put into building it.
But now, it has found a new home with these new owners who appreciate its beauty and character just as much as I do. The Great Dane accident may have caused some damage, but it also brought attention to this forgotten gem.
